Werner Bächtold (born October 21, 1953 , resident in Schleitheim SH ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

biography

Bächtold is a primary school teacher by profession. He is married and has two children. He lives in Schaffhausen . Since 2005 he has been in Schaffhausen cantonal parliament and since 2009 president of the SP - / AL - faction . He is a member of various organizations such as B. the VPOD or the WWF .

In 2012 he ran for the government council of the canton of Schaffhausen for the second time after 2009 . Although he achieved the absolute majority, he had the fewest votes of all, which is why he was eliminated as redundant.
