Werner Grabherr (born September 8, 1985 ) is an Austrian soccer coach and former soccer player .
Career
As a player
Grabherr began his career at FC Riefensberg . In 1999 he came to the BNZ Vorarlberg . For the 2004/05 season he moved to the second division SCR Altach . He made his debut in the second division on the fourth day of the season when he came on for Marc Ender against FC Kärnten in the 89th minute . After promotion to the Bundesliga in the 2005/06 season, he moved to the regional division FC Hard . After one season for Hard and one for fourth division club FC Bizau , he moved to regional division SC Bregenz in summer 2008 . After more than 100 competitive games for Bregenz, he moved to FC Egg in January 2012 . Grabherr ended his career after the 2011/12 season.
As a trainer
Grabherr became Marketing Director of his former club SCR Altach in February 2012 . For the 2013/14 season he was assistant coach of the Altacher amateurs. After Peter Jakubec became coach of FC Dornbirn in 1913 , Grabherr took over the post of head coach for the amateurs. For the 2016/17 season he became assistant coach of the professionals, while the previous assistant coach Dietmar Berchtold took over the amateurs. In November 2016 he became the interim head coach of the Altacher after Damir Canadi had switched to league rivals SK Rapid Wien . In December 2016 he was replaced by Martin Scherb .
After Scherb's leave of absence in May 2017, Grabherr took over the team again on an interim basis for a match.
For the 2018/19 season he finally became head coach as the successor to Klaus Schmidt . In March 2019 Altach parted ways with Grabherr, the club was in last place in the table after the 20th match day.
