Werner Hartmann (* 1953 ) is a Swiss computer science - educationalists .
Professional background
From 1973 to 1978 Werner Hartmann studied mathematics at the University of Zurich , then did his doctorate in the subject area of computational complexity and completed his training as a high school teacher . From 1983 to 2010 he taught mathematics at the Baden Cantonal School . At the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich , he built up the computer science didactics training with Jürg Nievergelt .
In 2004 Hartmann was appointed adjunct professor at ETH Zurich. A year later he switched to the Bern University of Education . The focus of his activities is on the efficient use of information and communication technologies in training, e-learning and multimedia learning, didactics of computer science lessons and the development and use of interactive, computer-aided learning environments. With the participation of Werner Hartmann, services such as the programming learning environment Kara , the didactic search engine Soekia, the learning environment Info-Traffic on logic, queues and dynamic systems, Wikibu , a didactic service to promote the competent use of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia as well as LearningApps , were created an exchange platform and authoring tools for interactive, multimedia learning modules. Werner Hartmann was co-initiator of the Cyber Roadshow SATW , the Swiss Center's for Innovations in Learning at the University of St. Gallen , as well as the two education servers EducETH and SwissEduc . With Sam Zürcher he developed the Horizobu Exploration Engine , a hybrid search engine that is heavily based on social search aspects.
