Werner Hilse

Werner Hilse (born March 26, 1952 in Schnega ) is a German agricultural worker . From 2006 to 2018 he was Vice President of the German Farmers' Association (DBV) and from 2003 to 2017 President of the Landvolk Niedersachsen Landesbauernverband . In addition, he was Vice President of the Federation for Food Law and Food Science (BLL), the umbrella organization of the German food industry .

Hilse represented the DBV in the European umbrella organization for farmers COPA . He runs a 330 hectare mixed farm with arable farming, pig (2,500 fattening places) and turkey fattening in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district . In addition, he holds various positions on supervisory and executive boards, including for a time at Vion NV and AVEBE .
