Werner Knobbe

Werner Knobbe (* 1950 in Minden ) is a German journalist.

Knobbe studied sociology with Lars Clausen at the University of Kiel . From 1980 to 1987 he was a journalist at the Kieler Rundschau (KR), of which he was one of the founders, initially as a volunteer, then as an editor and finally as editor-in-chief (at times also managing director). After the KR sale in 1987, he went to Hamburg, where he was editor-in-chief and acting managing director of the private radio provider Radio 107 in 1989/90 . After that he was deputy program manager of the radio program Bremen Eins at Radio Bremen .

In 1986 he was awarded the German Social Prize of the Federal Association of Independent Welfare Care for his report series " Armut - Sozialhilfe - Selbsthilfe " .

Together with radio journalist Rainer Burchardt , Knobbe wrote a biography of Björn Engholm .
