The musical design was carried out by the Big Band Bremer Stadtmusikanten under the direction of Prof. Harry Schmadtke, Robert Walla and his rhythm section as well as a changing shanty choir and an additional singer or group. Until it was discontinued, the program was moderated by Günther Meyer.
