Jens-Uwe Krause (born April 21, 1970 in Hanover ) is a German radio presenter .

biography

Krause attended the Johanna-Friesen-Grundschule, the Martensplatz orientation level and the Humboldt School in Hanover . After graduating from high school in 1989, he did his community service and then began studying German, which he broke off after one semester. The Lower Saxony radio broadcaster Hitradio Antenne became aware of the young Hanoverian through a photo on a letter of application for an internship on which Krause had a Big Mac in his mouth . After his internship, he completed a two-year traineeship at the broadcaster and worked as an editor and announcer until the end of 1993. In 1994 he moved to the Bremen Vier youth radio .

There he hosted, among others, the program T-Time with Mr. president -Frontfrau T-Seven , rock telephone , handset mix , news box , NetChat , the zero number , The Morning Show: The Fat and the Lean and mission Gefühlsecht . He has been a permanent employee at Bremen Vier for several years . He was best known on the Internet for the morning show Gleanings , a daily podcast . He was also a regular part of one of the German podcasts , Schlaflos in München by Annik Rubens . Here he spoke in the Podvela - Juks and Anniks Ways to Happiness section for letters for Annik that were played in the podcast.

In 2008, after the birth of his daughter, he took one year of parental leave and gave up the moderation of the morning show and the program Emotional Reality. From 2010 to 2016 he hosted the morning show Vier begins auf Bremen Vier with Daniela Sadri , alternating with Roland Kanwicher and Rieke Bargmann . Until March 2013 he hosted the talk show Lateline of the ARD -Jugendwellen every Monday . Since 2016, Krause has been moderating the morning program on Bremen Vier with Tina Padberg. At the end of December 2019, it was announced that Krause will switch from Bremen Vier to Bremen Eins in spring 2020 due to a modernization of the transmitter concept . Since the beginning of May 2020, Krause has been moderating the morning program on Bremen Eins together with Katharina Guleikoff and alternately with the duo Britta Uphoff and Marcus Rudolph .

For the comedy show Die Nullnummer , Krause and Peter Mack developed a stage program. He moderated local events such as the Haake Beck bathing island regatta on the Weser with Lou Richter and Jasmin Wagner, among others .

As part of the zero number, he released several locally successful CDs. In 2006 he recorded the lantern song with the team of the morning show for the Bremer Lichtermeer. Due to the great audience response, he produced a video himself, which received over 45,000 hits on YouTube in the first two weeks . In 2010 the song was released on iTunes as a single, the proceeds of which will go to the WWF .

Krause was mentioned regularly in the local newspapers in Bremen and Bremerhaven. He published articles in his column in the free advertising magazine Bremen4u Paper . He also had his own column in the Prinz Bremen , the so-called Juk-Box .

Sports Event

Krause held a pan pong open table tennis tournament with frying pans. The Pan Pong Open is now an annual Bremen event in which listeners and celebrities compete against each other. Krause himself became the frying pan king in 2006.

Oddities

In July 2000 Krause was made an honorary citizen of Niens (32 inhabitants), where later a street (Jens-Uwe-Krause-Allee) was named after him.
