Werner Pangritz (born October 16, 1927 ) is a German football player. In the 1950s he played for Lokomotive Stendal in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

The company sports community (BSG) Lokomotive Stendal was one of the founding communities of the football league of the German Sports Committee , which was then the top division in the Soviet occupation zone , later dubbed the GDR Oberliga. The 22-year-old defender Werner Pangritz was part of the BSG Lok squad. He came in his first league season only once on the 2nd match day for use. While he played eleven times at irregular intervals during the 34 point games in 1950/51 and also scored once, he was not called up in the league games in the 1951/52 season at all. After he came back to only one league use in 1952/53, he achieved the breakthrough in the 1953/54 season when he was used in all 28 point games. He played continuously as a right defender. However, it was already his last league season, because Lok Stendal then had to relegate from the league. Pangritz helped the team with 21 appearances in the 26 games of the GDR league for immediate resurgence, but then ended his career in the top football leagues.
