Werner R. Lehmann

Werner Rudolf Lehmann (born May 26, 1922 in Crossen / Oder ) is a German writer, literary critic and translator.

Career

He studied literature, philosophy and history in Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg. He was a freelance journalist until 1957. After completing his doctorate, he became professor of German language and literature at the Flensburg University of Education . He was also a visiting professor in Canada. Lehmann is a member of the PEN Center in Germany .
