Werner Steinmüller

Werner Helmut Steinmüller (* 1954 ) is a German industrial engineer and board member of Deutsche Bank , responsible for the Asia-Pacific region.

Life and professional history

Steinmüller studied at the TU Darmstadt and received a degree in industrial engineering. He began his professional career at Citibank in 1979 and moved to Deutsche Bank in 1991. From 1996 he was co-head of the corporate finance business and from 1998 head of the Global Banking Division Europe. Between 2003 and 2004 he was Chief Operating Officer of Global Transaction Banking until he became Head of Global Transaction Banking in 2004. On August 1, 2016, he was appointed to the Board of Management and is Chief Executive Officer for the Asia-Pacific region. Steinmüller plans to expand the private customer business in the Asian market and further expansions in India.

Steinmüller received a manager remuneration of 4.7 million euros in 2018. In 2019, he held a total of 146,905 shares in Deutsche Bank AG.

Steinmüller is married and has three children.
