The Wernigeröder newspaper and intelligence paper was a German daily newspaper .

It appeared from 1887 to 1943 and was the most important newspaper in Wernigerode at the time .

It contained numerous supplements such as the Agricultural Week or the illustrated house calendar of the Wernigeröder Zeitung .

A newspaper under the same name was published from 1954 to 1991, which was published by Gerhard Bombös from the city of Allendorf and addressed to the former Wernigerode living in the Federal Republic of Germany.

On March 1, 1990, the Wernigeröder Zeitung was founded as an offshoot of the Goslarsche Zeitung , which was discontinued at the end of 1995.
