Gerhard Bombös

Gerhard Bombös (born June 14, 1922 in Leipzig ; † September 7, 1991 ) was a German publisher . From 1954 until his death he published 227 issues of the Wernigeröder newspaper , which he also published.

Life

Bombös' parents moved to Wernigerode in 1932 , where Gerhard attended middle school. From 1938 to 1941 he trained as a typesetter. Shortly after completing his apprenticeship, he was called up for military service as a recruit in the Air Force. In 1945 Gerhard Bombös was captured by the Americans near Dessau , from which he was released in 1946. He began studying at the “master school for the graphic arts” in Leipzig, which he broke off in 1947 to go to Giessen .

In 1953 he became a representative of the "Oberhessische Presse" in Marburg . The following year he published the first issue of the “Wernigeröder Zeitung”. From 1969 he worked for the Bertelsmann publishing group .
