Wesley Peterson (agricultural economist)

E. Wesley F. Peterson is an American agricultural economist . He is a professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln .

Life

Peterson first studied anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley ( BA , 1967). He then worked for three years in agricultural development programs for the Peace Corps in Benin and the US Virgin Islands . In 1973 he received a Masters in Public Policy from Princeton University . From 1974 to 1976 he worked at the Regional Economic Research and Documentation Center in Lomé . He received his PhD in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University in 1981 . From 1981 to 1983 he was junior professor at the Institut de gestion internationale agroalimentaire in Cergy , from 1983 to 1990 at Texas A&M University . He has been a professor at Lincoln since 1990.
