The West Beach ( English for West beach is) an approximately 90 m long beach on the Antarctic Ross Island . It is located 180 m northwest of Cape Evans on the shores of North Bay . The beach is only visible in exceptionally warm years and is otherwise buried under snow.
Participants of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott named him.
