The West Groin (English for West Ridge ) is a striking mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . On the south side of the Asgard Range , it looms between Mudrey Cirque and Flory Cirque .
Participants of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott gave it its descriptive name, which more than 60 years later was reflected in the name of the nearby East Groin .
