The West Hawk Lake is a nearly circular lake in the southeast of the Canadian province of Manitoba . The small side bay Little Indian Bay extends over the provincial border to Ontario .

West Hawk Lake is located in Whiteshell Provincial Park . The Trans-Canada Highway runs on the south shore of the lake. There is also the place West Hawk Lake (unincorporated area).
The lake is located in the area of the Canadian Shield. It has an area of 14.9 km² and is at an altitude of 329 m . At 111 m, it is the deepest lake in Manitoba.
The lake is traversed by the Whiteshell River from east to north. At the drain is the West Hawk Lake Dam, which regulates the amount of water flowing out.
Impact crater
Below the central part of West Hawk Lake is an impact crater that was formed 351 ± 20 million years ago. The crater is 2.44 km in diameter.
