The Westend Verlag is a German book publisher based in Frankfurt am Main .

The publishing house was founded in January 2004 in Frankfurt am Main by Markus J. Karsten and Michael Morganti, initially as a "one-book publishing house". The title 50 Simple Things You Can Do To Save the World was released in September of the same year. The program focuses on non-fiction books on the subjects of politics , economics , society and ecology as well as satire and cabaret .

With the title Hurray, we're allowed to pay. The self-deception of the middle class by Ulrike Herrmann made it onto the Spiegel bestseller list for the first time.
