The former Gasthaus Westfälischer Hof is a listed half-timbered gable building in Detmold in the Lippe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The house was built in 1604. The archway originally located on the gable end of Krummen Strasse was partially blocked later. The gate bar is still visible with the inscription from Psalm 121, verse 8: “THE HER WARNING YOUR IN AND OUT FROM NVN TO IN ANNO 1604”. The gate posts that extend over the ground floor and mezzanine are decorated with acanthus . Below the gable there is a cornice with an egg stick . The ends of the beams under the three gable storeys protrude slightly and are pointed like a diamond cut, sill beams have tooth cut and pearl rod patterns. There is a fan rosette in the top of the gable .
The dormer at the eaves to the Long Street was built in 1891 to plans by Hermann Cuno Heufer .
Today the house is used as a restaurant.
