The Westfalen-Therme is a thermal bath in the East Westphalian town of Bad Lippspringe . They were built in the mid-1980s according to plans by Heribert Stork and belong to the Stork group of companies.

Facilities

The Westfalen-Therme Bad Lippspringe is divided into different areas: the water and adventure world, the sauna paradise on three floors, a 600 m² brine / salt spa area. In this textile area, those looking for relaxation will find everything to do with brine and salt. The area has a wide range of facilities, from a floating pool with a temperature of 36 degrees to a salt tunnel sauna with brine misting to one of the few indoor gradients in North Rhine-Westphalia. Adjacent to the thermal bath is the Vital Hotel belonging to the group of companies. In the thermal world there are four pools - inside and outside -, all filled with thermal water from the Martinus spring between 30 ° C and 34 ° C. There is also a steam bath , a relaxation room, a sauna garden and a sun roof terrace with a heated outdoor pool and a view of the Teutoburg Forest . The Westfalen-Therme Bad Lippspringe has a total area of approx. 18,000 m².

history

The thermal bath is fed with thermal water from the Martinus spring in Bad Lippspringe. This is the youngest of the Bad Lippspringer springs, which was drilled in 1962 in the spa forest area northwest of the city. The fluoride-containing calcium-sodium-sulfate-hydrogen carbonate thermal bath is 27.8 degrees, has a discharge of 2,000 liters per minute and is considered medicinal water .

Bad Lippspringe has a long bathing tradition. This tradition was continued with the opening of the Westfalen-Therme in the mid-1980s. The Martiniusquelle now feeds the thermal outdoor pool, the municipal indoor pool and the private Westphalia thermal baths. In the second half of 2010, extensive renovation and improvement work was carried out at the Westfalen-Therme, including a new rest area in the Asian style and a new water playground.

location

Since 1982, Bad Lippspringe has been the only spa in North Rhine-Westphalia to have had two of the most important ratings nationwide: "State-approved spa " and " Climatic health resort ".
