The Western Muztagh Pass (also: New Muztagh Pass ) is a 5700 m high alpine pass crossing in the Karakoram .
It lies on the border between Pakistan and the Shaksgam Valley, which has been annexed by China . In the west lies the Chiring Glacier , a tributary glacier of the Panmah Glacier . In the east is the nutrient area of the Sarpo Laggo Glacier , which is located in the Shaksgam catchment area . The Western Muztagh Pass separates the Baltoro Muztagh in the south and southeast from the Panmah Muztagh in the north .
