The Westpark is a shopping center built in 1996 in the northwest of the city of Ingolstadt near the B 13 .

It has a total size of 36,000 m², of which 22,000 m² is used as sales area, which extends over two floors. The building is 320 m long, 80 m wide and contains more than 150 shops. In addition, the Westpark is the first shopping center in Europe to have its own brewery called 1516 Westparkbräu . The name takes up the year 1516, in which the purity law was announced in Ingolstadt . In the course of the planning of the Westpark, differences arose between the city of Ingolstadt and neighboring Neuburg on the Danube , as Neuburg feared that purchasing power would migrate to Ingolstadt. An agreement was reached through a court settlement that limits the size of the sales area to 22,000 m². At the end of 2004, an extension was added on the south-west side of the Westpark, which among other things houses a CineStar multiplex cinema. In 2011 the Westpark was expanded and 45 shops, restaurants etc. were added. The opening took place on March 28, 2012. The expansion increased the sales area by 10,000 to 32,000 m².
