Wetteroth was an American chassis manufacturer in monoposto racing cars in the 1930s and 1940s.

Racing history

Wetteroth chassis were mainly used in the AAA National series and followed the pattern of the US front-engined monoposto of that time. The Indianapolis 500-mile race has been won four times with Wetterroth racing cars . In 1932, Fred Frame won with an average speed of 104.144 miles. In 1935 the victory went to Kelly Petillo and in 1938 Floyd Roberts was the first to cross the finish line. In 1941 Mauri Rose and Floyd Davis shared first place.

In 1950, with Jim Rathmann at the wheel, a Wetteroth competed in Indianapolis for the last time. Rathmann was 24th in the race.
