Weyerburg (villa)

history
The Weyerburg was built in the middle of the 19th century around 1850. The builder is the knight Stucker von Weyer , whose ancestors came from the Weyerhof right next door, such as Ferdinand Stucker . The married couple Carl Thomas and Emilie Schmitz lived in the building since the 1860s . Emilie Schmitz is certified as a generous donor in the Bensberg home history. In her will, she appointed the community of Bensberg as the universal heiress, who should use the assets for charitable purposes.

Since 1982 the villa building with the surrounding park has been registered under No. 12 in the list of architectural monuments in Bergisch Gladbach .
