Who's Amy is a German indie / pop band from Düsseldorf .
history
The two musicians Peer Richter and Robert Bücker met at the end of 2014 through a mutual acquaintance. A few months later they met the drummer Simeon Weller. From there on, the three musicians went their common path as a band.
In 2016 Who's Amy moved into a small apartment together near their current studio. This is also where the young band's first songs were written. Even before the final band name was named, they already appeared under other names (e.g. as "Bilbao").
After the first songs had already been professionally produced in London's Kensaltown Studios, the first single was released in July 2018, Bester Fehler , which was recorded in Granny's House Studios in Hamburg . In the beginning of 2019, the second single Mach's dich nicht zu Komfort followed, and shortly thereafter the debut EP Who's Amy (Release 02/2019), which was also produced entirely in Granny's House Studios.
With appearances in the ZDF morning magazine , as support act for Cro in the Düsseldorf ISS Dome , as well as numerous concerts of their own, the band quickly gained regional fame and now has over a million streams on Spotify .
At the end of 2019, Who's Amy announced that she would go on tour through Germany in March and April 2020 .
style
Who's Amy's musical style is mostly described as a mix of indie and pop . In the songs of their first EP Who's Amy, there are some influences from synth pop with a focus on meaningful German lyrics and the combination of modern beats and alternative live sounds.
