Like cats and dogs ( Sugar and Spice ) was an Australian children's series that produced on the occasion of the 200 th anniversary of Australia and ABC TV aired between 1988 and 1989. The series was broadcast in Germany from March to September 1990 on ARD . It was alsorepeatedin 1991 on Bavarian TV , 1992 on ARD and 1997 to 1999 on KiKA and 1999 to 2000 on Bavarian TV.
The television series set in the 1920s and was about two eleven-year-old girls from the Australian bush, Pixie Robinson ( Radha Mitchell ) and Molly Wilson ( Michelle Kearley ), who had been sent to Melbourne to join Pixies Grandmother to live and attend private high school there.
The complete series was released in 2008 in the English version under the original title Sugar and Spice by Force Entertainment on DVD.
