Radha Rani Amber Indigo Anunda Mitchell (born November 12, 1973 in Melbourne , Victoria , Australia ) is an Australian actress , film producer and film director .

life and career

As a child, Radha Mitchell had her first leading role as Pixie Robertson in the Australian children's series How Dog and Cat from 1988 to 1989 . Like many other young Australian actors, she starred in the hit soap opera Neighbors . There she played the parachute instructor Cassandra Rushmore in 1994 , before she played the student Catherine O'Brien from 1996 to 1997 .

After appearances in Hollywood films like Pitch Black - Planet der Finsternis (2000), Don't hang up! (2002) and When Dreams Learn to Fly (2004) Mitchell was offered the lead role in Woody Allen's comedy Melinda and Melinda via cell phone . She thought it was a joke until she got the script sent to her. In 2009 she played the leading female role of Jennifer Peters in the film Surrogates - My second self at the side of Bruce Willis .
