The musical tells about the childhood of the English poet William Shakespeare and explores the question of how a simple glove-maker son from Stratford could become the world-famous author.

In 1577, at the age of 13, William saw that his father lost all of his fortune. William has to leave school and work against his will as an apprentice in his father's glove workshop. By meeting a theater company, he got to know the world of the stage and decided to lead a life as an actor and writer. However, his parents are strictly against it and try to dissuade him from his plan.
