Wiei , sometimes known as Wei and formerly Jacquinot Island , is an island in the South Pacific island state of Papua New Guinea ( East Sepik Province ).
The approximately 9 km² large, elongated island belongs to the Le Maire Islands . It is located 60 km east of the mainland and about 40 km east of the island of Koil . The highest point of Wiei is 160 m above sea level.
