Broadcast Notice

From February 17, 2014, the program was initially broadcast on working days at 6.15 p.m. in the highly competitive early evening program on the television market . Due to the poor audience ratings, however, it was only broadcast once a week from May 6, 2014 , on the broadcaster's later main evening program , on Tuesday at 9:20 pm. In June 2014 the time slot was moved back one hour, so that the format ran until the end on August 5, 2014 on Tuesday at 10:20 p.m. On January 12, 2015, ATV began repeating the series at 7:00 a.m. on working days. Episodes that have not previously been broadcast are also to be broadcast for the first time.

Audience ratings

The opening episode on February 17, 2014 was seen by 61,000 viewers, reaching 6 percent from the advertising-relevant target group of 12 to 49 year olds and 11.9 percent from the young target group of 12 to 29 year olds. The channel average was accordingly exceeded in both audience groups. On April 3, 2014, with episode 34, the series hit a new low in terms of audience ratings. With exactly 17,000 viewers, the young target group was 2.0 percent below the broadcaster average.

Deposition

On April 10, 2014, ATV announced that it would not extend Vienna - Day & Night for a second season. The reason is the bad odds. Originally, all 100 planned episodes were still to be broadcast, but due to the persistently poor audience figures, the series was then canceled after 67 episodes broadcast on August 5, 2014. However, more episodes were produced than those previously broadcast, and these are scheduled to be broadcast in 2015.
