Wigo (also Wido, Guido ) was Bishop of Brandenburg from 1004 to 1017/1019 .
Life
Wigo was ordained bishop by Archbishop Giselher von Magdeburg before January 27, 1004. The first mention of Bishop Wigo was as a participant in the consecration of Bishop Wigbert of Merseburg on February 6, 1004. In August of the same year he was present at the inauguration of the Nienburg monastery on the Saale. He assisted in the ordination of Archbishop Walthard von Magdeburg on June 22, 1012 and in the ordination of Archbishop Gero of Magdeburg on September 22, 1012. He was mentioned for the last time when he was at the court of Heinrich II in Magdeburg on February 22, 1017 . was.
