Wik Jongsma
Wiggert Marten Jongsma (born April 4, 1943 in Amsterdam , † November 7, 2008 in The Hague ) was a Dutch actor .
He became known to a wide audience through the role of Meneer Harmsen in the soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden , which he played between 1991 and 2006.
Life
Jongsma studied from 1967 at the theater school in Arnhem . Between 1967 and 1989 he was a member of the Theater te Arnhem ensemble for several seasons . He also worked at the RO Theater , the Nieuw Rotterdams Toneel , the Publiekstheater and ran its own theater company, Thema Theater . In The Hague, he was directed by Arda Brokmann as Gajew in Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard . At the Literair Theater Branoul he played under Gees Linnebank in Liefde's Schijnbewegungingen by Remco Campert . For the De Valse Spiegel Foundation , he staged Harold Pinter's play A Light Pain .
In 2006 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. On November 7, 2008, at the age of 65, he succumbed to the consequences of his illness.
