Wikirank.net (or WikiRank ) is an online service for the automatic relative evaluation and comparison of the articles in the different language versions of Wikipedia .

The service was first mentioned in academic papers in 2015.

The service rates the quality and popularity of Wikipedia articles on a scale from 0 to 100. This simplifies the comparison of the Wikipedia language versions, which can themselves have different internal evaluation schemes and evaluation standards. To maintain quality and popularity levels, WikiRank uses various normalized metrics such as:

  • Text length
  • Number of references
  • Sections
  • photos
  • number of visits
  • and other.

Initially, the service made it possible to compare the quality of articles in seven language versions. Now the service can rate articles in more than 50 major language editions from Wikipedia. In the future, new measures for quality assessment including indicators from social networks such as Facebook , Twitter , Reddit , VKontakte , LinkedIn and other social sources, as well as the quality analysis of references such as Google , Bing , Yahoo !, Baidu , Yandex and other search engines are to be included.

WikiRank is also used for didactic purposes in various higher education institutions (such as the University of Warsaw ).

WikiRank values are used to assess the quality of info boxes.
