Viktor Dmitrijewitsch Baranow ( Russian Виктор Дмитриевич Баранов ; January 30, 1928 , † August 14, 2005 ) was a Soviet cross-country skier .

Baranow took third place over 50 km at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1955 . The following year he took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo . He achieved seventh place over 50 km. At the Lahti Ski Games in 1957, he ran in eighth place over 50 km. From 1962 to 1964 he was the national coach for Soviet cross-country skiers.
