Viktor Vasilyevich Torzin
Viktor Wassiljewitsch Torzhin ( Russian Виктор Васильевич Торшин , in the German-language press also referred to as Viktor Torzhin ; * March 21, 1948 in Berlin , † November 1993 in Minsk ) was a Soviet sports shooter .
Tore won the bronze medal in shooting with the rapid-fire pistol at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich . He also became world champion in 1974. He died in November 1993 when he fell from a staircase at the army shooting range in Minsk. Just a few months earlier, in January 1993, the former European champion Ivan Denisjuk fell fatally over this very missing landing .
