Wildstorm
WildStorm Productions , or WildStorm for short (often spelled Wildstorm ), was an American comic book publisher.
history
WildStorm was a studio at Image Comics when it was founded in 1992 , but has been part of DC Comics since 1999 . The publisher was founded by Jim Lee , who derived the name from his comic series WildC.ATs and Stormwatch . DC soon intended to incorporate the WildStorm characters into its universe , which was carried out in the wake of the Infinite Crisis (2005/2006). The WildStorm stories subsequently took place in the DC Multiverse on Earth-50. In December 2010, WildStorm was disbanded as an imprint by DC Comics. In the course of the restart of the DC universe in 2011 ( The New 52 ), the merging took place on earth with the well-known DC heroes (e.g. Batman and Superman ).
title
WildStorm published ordinary American comics , but also licensed titles to films and v. a. Computer games so that a wide spectrum was covered. The fictional main universe ( WildStorm universe ) housed typical superheroes with a wide variety of stories. Often there were series about superhero groups (e.g. WildC.ATs ), less often about individual characters (e.g. Midnighters ). Below are some of the more well-known series in the German-speaking area and their label affiliation by years within WildStrom.
