The Wildbach Trio is an Austrian folk music group from Gschaid near Birkfeld in Styria .

history

The brothers Johannes and Christian Wagner first appeared as Wagner Buam in 1984 . But the goal of the brothers was to play as a trio and so they looked for a third man, who was found with Michael Sammer from Friesach near Semriach. In 1992 Michael Sammer ended his career with the Wildbach Trio after seven successful years. Now the group was expanded to six members. In addition there were Gerald Pratscher (drums), Markus Kulmer (electric guitar, vocals), Walter Koschuh (harmonica, keyboard) and Renate Schauperl (guitar, vocals). Until 1996 the group performed under the name WILDBACHER . At the end of 1996 the Wagner brothers decided to break up the group and go completely new ways. Since the demand for the legendary trio never ended, the Wagner brothers decided in summer 2011 to start a comeback of the Wildbach Trio in 2013. As a trombonist, however, Hannes Wagner jun. are used.
