Wildcat is the name of two wooden roller coasters in Hersheypark ( Hershey , Pennsylvania , USA ) that opened in 1923 and 1996, respectively.

The first Wildcat in Hersheypark opened on June 16, 1923 as the Joy Ride . It only ran under this name in 1923. The runway built by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters (PTC) has serial number 39 and was closed again on September 9, 1945. It was the first roller coaster designed by Herbert Paul Schmeck . However, the owner of the train was not Hersheypark, but the manufacturer PTC, from whom Hersheypark had leased the train .
The 711 long route reached a height of 23 m and had a tunnel .

On May 26, 1996, another wooden roller coaster named Wildcat was opened. The track built by the manufacturer Great Coasters International was the manufacturer's first roller coaster.
The construction for the 970 m long line, constructed by Clair Hain and Mike Boodley , cost around 5 million US dollars . It reaches a height of 27 m and has a first drop of 26 m. The trains accelerate to 81 km / h and 3.5 g develop.
Trains
Wildcat owns two Millennium Flyer trains with twelve cars each. Two people (in a row) can be seated in each carriage. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride.
Originally, Wildcat had trains from the manufacturer Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with six cars, in which four people (two rows of two people) could sit. This was exchanged for the 2007 season.
