Content and edition
Der Wildwechsel is a monthly regional magazine that appears in two issues with a print run of 27,000 copies . The north edition (region: OWL, Kassel - Paderborn ) the Ur-Wildwechsel, and the south edition (region: north Hesse, Kassel- Marburg ). In deer crossing you will find topics and trends from the region from social developments to cultural events, concerts and festivals as well as an event calendar. In addition, there are raffles , the classifieds section and articles on national topics. New films and records are regularly reviewed. Impressions of selected events in the Ww region are shown in the form of a photo series in the Live Here section.
history
Matthias Hottträger, Albert Völkl, Michael Beerlage and Fedor Waldschmidt founded the event magazine "Wildwechsel" in Hofgeismar in 1985. The first editorial meeting was held in the Cafe "Neue Welt" at the pottery market in Hofgeismar. Sibylle Hüser designed the cover for the first deer crossing. The first issue of Wildwechsel was published in the spring of 1986. A year later in 1987, Fedor Waldschmidt and Jürgen Koch took over the management of the Wildwechsel magazine. In 1996 Fedor Waldschmidt (until today head of Wildwechsel) took over the management of the Wildwechsel editorial team.
In 1986, the year it was founded, the Ur-Wildwechsel (northern edition) had a print run of 3,000 copies; in 1988 the print run increased to 8,000 copies. In 1992 the editorial office moved from Hofgeismar via Grebenstein to the Hanseatic city of Warburg.
The southern edition of Wildwechsel was published for the first time in 1994 and is distributed between Marburg and Kassel.
At the beginning of 2012 an iTunes podcast was created that enables all iPhone or iPad readers of Wildwechsel magazine to read the current issue of the magazine online free of charge from the date of publication.
