Wilfried Nelles

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wilfried Nelles (* 1948 in Marmagen , Eifel ) is a German psychologist , psychological advisor and author . His books have been translated into several languages. Coming from the field of family constellation, Nelles conceived a theory on the evolution of human consciousness , which is intended to serve as an orientation for understanding contemporary psychological problems as well as for practical psychological counseling . At first Nelles worked according to Bert Hellinger's method, but from 2006 onwards he developed “a new type of constellation work in several steps”, which he calls the life integration process (LIP). The focus is "not on relationships with the family (the so-called 'systemic' '), but on one's own life and recognizing its inner context".

Since Nelle's family constellation differs from Hellinger's highly controversial methods only in details, there is also no scientific evidence for Nelle's methods and they are even considered possibly counterproductive by other therapists.

Life

Wilfried Nelles grew up in a small village in the Eifel. He is the oldest of five children, his father was a master painter, his mother a housewife. He studied and obtained his doctorate in political science , sociology and psychology at the University of Bonn . After twelve years in social science research and teaching, he left the university and began to deal intensively with humanistic psychology, Eastern meditations and, in particular, the spiritual teaching of Osho . In 1996 he got to know Bert Hellinger and family constellation. He became a family producer and published several books on the subject before developing his own theory and practice. Today, together with his son Malte Nelles, he heads the Nelles Institute in Nettersheim-Marmagen, which has representatives in several European countries and in China. Nelles is married and has two sons.
