Political positions

Wilfried Oellers is actively committed to the shutdown of the Tihange II and Doel III nuclear power plants in the German-Belgian border area, to the creation of an office for the Federal Police in the Heinsberg district and to strengthen the rural area. Oellers represents both employee- and employer-friendly positions. On the one hand, in the 18th electoral term, he campaigned for the introduction of the minimum wage, and on the other hand, he voted against the abolition of fixed-term employment contracts for no reason . His voting behavior in the 2013 to 2017 legislative period reflects this.
