Wilhelm Leuschner Memorial

The Wilhelm Leuschner Memorial is one of the Bayreuth museums and commemorates the trade unionist and social democrat Wilhelm Leuschner and his resistance to National Socialism . The memorial is located in the listed birthplace of Leuschner in the Moritzhöfen district .

The memorial at Moritzhöfen 25 was established in 2003. The basis of the exhibition is Leuschner's legacy, which is administered and scientifically processed by the Wilhelm Leuschner Foundation in the adjacent Herderstrasse. The exhibition deals with Leuschner's life as a politician and trade unionist in the Weimar Republic . Offers at the memorial are also aimed specifically at school classes.
