It is located east of Gernröder's old town at the confluence of Quedlinburger Strasse and Wilhelm-Pieck-Strasse and is listed as a residential building in the local register of monuments. A little further to the east is the boundary to the Ballenstedt district of Rieder .
Architecture and history
The two-storey building was built around 1890/1900. The plastered building was built in massive construction. The north-facing street-side facade presents itself in strict symmetry in the style of the neo-renaissance . It is dominated by a central riser crowned with a volute gable . The volute gable is provided with a shell motif.
