Hans Wilhelm Kristofer Agrell (born October 13, 1950 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish historian and writer .

Life

Agrell studied history, where he received his doctorate in 1985 . He has been a lecturer at Lund University since 1987 and is an author of novels and non-fiction books. In Lund, Agrell is a professor at the Research Policy Institute, his main focus is on peace and conflict research. Agrell obtained the material for his books not only through theoretical research, but also through longer stays in conflict zones. Countdown ( Dödsbudet 2001; German 2002) is his first novel, which is aimed primarily at young people.

Awards

He was nominated for the recognized Swedish August Prize and was awarded the Nils Holgersson plaque in 2002.
