Wilhelm Bachmann (writer)

Wilhelm Bachmann (born October 11, 1890 in Reetz , Arnswalde district , † October 11, 1958 in Duisburg-Meiderich ) was a German writer .

From 1911, Bachmann worked for a few months in Walsum-Aldenrade as a primary school teacher before he worked in Sterkrade from 1911 to 1919. From 1919 to 1921 Bachmann was a seminar teacher in the Prenzlau and Friedeberg teachers' seminar. He then worked in Sterkrade again until 1922 and finally he was employed as rector in Duisburg from 1922 until his retirement in 1956. Even after his retirement, he continued to work part-time until his death. In addition to his professional activity, he wrote stories and plays .

After the end of the Second World War, the sunken fleet and the battle against the Ruhr were put on the list of literature to be sorted out in the Soviet occupation zone .
