Wilhelm Baumann (trade unionist)

Wilhelm Baumann (born July 3, 1937 in Munich ) is a German trade unionist.

Baumann did his apprenticeship as a typesetter after attending elementary school and then worked in this profession. From 1960 onwards, he worked full-time in several trade union elective positions. On the main board of IG Druck und Papier , he was responsible for the areas of youth and educational work. He was a member of the main board and the central technical committee for the graphic industry. From 1969 to 1995 he was regional chairman of IG Druck und Papier, which was incorporated into IG Medien in 1989 . From 1982 to 1997 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate . In 1996 he became a member of the Media Council.
