Wilhelm Bertram

Gottfried Carl Wilhelm Bertram (born April 29, 1829 in Sondershausen ; † unknown) was a national liberal German politician.

Wilhelm Bertram was the son of Schönfärbers in Sondershausen Johann Bernhard Gottfried Bertram and his wife Sophie Friederike Henriette Caroline Rindermann. Wilhelm Bertram, who was Protestant-Lutheran, married Dorothea Wilhelmine Friederike Stade (born April 21, 1821 in Arnstadt; † November 5, 1885 in Großbreitenbach ) on October 9, 1851 in Arnstadt , the daughter of the former corporal from Bohemia (1829 ) and later registrar at the Princely District Executive (District Office) August Wilhelm Stade.

Wilhelm Bertram was from April 1, 1847 to November 30, 1853 NCO in the Princely Line Battalion Schwarzburg-Sondershausen in Arnstadt. On June 22, 1849 he passed his ensign exam. From December 1, 1853 to December 31, 1863 he was the town secretary and finally also the custodian administrator in Arnstadt. Until 1862 he also worked as an agent for the Leipzig life insurance company in Arnstadt.

From January 1, 1863 to January 31, 1893 he was mayor of the city of Großbreitenbach. As a liberal politician, he was chairman of the national liberal election committee in Breitenbach in the Reichstag election in 1874 . From November 14, 1887 to December 31, 1891 he was a member of the Schwarzburg-Sondershäuser Landtag .

On November 21, 1868 he was appointed city judge. For his services he received the Princely Cross of Honor, 4th Class (August 7, 1880).
