Wilhelm Dilthey (bailiff)

Wilhelm Dilthey (born July 1, 1810 in Diez ; † June 30, 1862 in Wiesbaden ) was a Nassau civil servant and bailiff .

Wilhelm Dilthey was the son of court preacher Samuel Dilthey (June 22, 1770 in Eisemroth ; † April 10, 1832 in Diez) and his wife Karoline née Winckel (1777–1864) from Berleburg . In 1838 he married Franziska Winckel from Berleburg (1807–1869).

Wilhelm Dilthey attended grammar school Weilburg from 1826 to 1828 and then studied law in Gießen and Göttingen . In 1831 he was admitted to the office in Diez , Hochheim , Rüdesheim and Montabaur . From 1840 to 1848 he was official secretary in Höchst and Schwalbach . In 1848 he became a state high school administrator in Wiesbaden . 1848 to 1849 he was bailiff in the office Höchst . After the offices that were abolished in 1849 had been re-established in 1854, he was appointed bailiff in Wallmerod from 1854 to 1856 and in Hadamar from 1856–1862 .
