Wilhelm Godau
Wilhelm Godau (born April 7, 1891 in Danzig ; † July 31, 1983 in Trossingen ) was a German politician ( SPD Danzig ) and a member of the People's Parliament .
Wilhelm Godaum of the Protestant denomination was the son of a worker and even after attending primary school he worked as an unskilled worker in Gdansk. In the First World War he did military service from 1914 to 1918 and retired as a non-commissioned officer . He was married.
In 1912 he joined the SPD. From 1933 to 1938 he was a member of the state parliament in the Danzig People's Day for two electoral terms. Arrested on October 4, 1936 and convicted of alleged possession of weapons . In August 1937, he was offered money when he joined the NSDAP .
After fleeing Danzig, he lived in Trossingen from 1945.
