Wilhelm Hoffbauer (politician, 1801)

Friedrich Wilhelm Eduard Hoffbauer (born March 28, 1801 in Minden ; † August 21, 1860 in Herford ) was a German judge and politician.

Hoffbauer was the son of the criminal inspector and judicial commissioner in the government in Minden, Dietrich Wilhelm Hoffbauer and his wife Johanna Francisca née Leo. Hoffbauer, who was a Protestant denomination, married Bertha Lohrmann on October 31, 1830 (born December 25, 1809 at Gut Übelngönne near Warburg; † February 26, 1873 in Lengerich in Westphalia), the daughter of senior pension master Martin Lohrmann.

Hoffbauer studied law and entered the Prussian civil service in 1823. In 1828 he became a judge. In 1848 he was regional and city court director in Büren, later in Herford. In 1850 he became a district judge and in 1860 he was the conductor of the second division of the district court.

In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .
