Wilhelm Jegel

Wilhelm Jegel (born May 30, 1826 in Nuremberg , † October 24, 1890 in Wendelstein ) was a quarry owner, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Jegel attended the higher middle school and district trade school in Nuremberg, and the agricultural and forestry academy in Hohenheim . He traveled extensively and was the manager of larger estates in Bavaria for several years. After that he was the owner of quartzite quarries in Wendelstein and there also mayor from 1870 to 1890. From 1870 he was a member of the district council committee and the agricultural district committee Schwabach and from 1870 to 1874 a member of the district council committee of Middle Franconia. He was also the regional fire service representative for Middle Franconia and a member of the state committee of the Bavarian fire services .

From 1874 to 1890 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies. In 1880, Jegel was elected as an independent liberal in the Reichstag in a replacement election, joined the National Liberal parliamentary group for a short time and belonged to the Liberal Association towards the end of the legislative period . In 1881 he was re-elected and until 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Middle Franconia 3 ( Ansbach ) and the Liberal Association.
